Skiing and other hiking opportunities can also be found in Banner Elk and Boone, NC, in less than an hour. If you choose to stay close by, hop on your bike and travel along the Tweetsie Trail that takes you to Johnson City or walk Elizabethton’s historic downtown and enjoy shops and local restaurants.
