Welcome to Bigfoot's Hideaway! Includes yurt (360 sq. ft.) AND cabin (700 sq. ft). This is a perfect blend of cozy rustic and modern vibes! Make memories - adults and kids love it here! The yurt is great for the comfort glamping experience and the cabin provides modern decor and craftmanship throughout.
The Cabin:
Our small cabin can sleep 7 guests (5 comfortably) & backs up to hundreds of miles of forest. The cabin has a master bedroom downstairs (queen), upstairs loft (2) twin beds, (1) Queen bed & twin foldout chair. Downstairs is a full bathroom & W/D.
The Yurt:
The Yurt has fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room & fiber internet! Huge Smart TV. Enjoy a BBQ & a 4-5-person hot tub!
Deck:
In between the yurt and cabin is the deck and a new covered roofed area that connects the two units. BBQ is covered as well as the entry stairs! There is a deck box filled with badminton, disc golf sets, extra chairs, volleyball and fun games. We have ladder game and (2) new disc golf stations in the field next to the cabin and yurt.
The Property:
3 private acres. Backs up to hundreds of miles of Olympic Forest and protected forest land.
*No Campfires or Fireworks YEAR-ROUND - PROPANE FIREPIT IS AVAILABLE for use
The property is between a convenient store/espresso stand. (3-minute walk)
Cougar, bobcats, deer and bears have been known to wander through.
1 mile away is a free boat launch to Lake Kokanee. Guests can paddleboard, kayak, swim (seasonally) and boat here. Fishing is popular in this lake. There is a waterfall mid-way down this lake, highly recommend! Kayaks are available for rent conveniently at the Lake Cushman Store!
What makes this property unique is the location and privacy. We are 1 mile away from all the major lakes and stores. Our yurt/cabin is not visible from the road. We are situated 500 ft from the road and mild road noise can be heard in the yurt.
Mountains are approximately 5-10 miles away down Lake Cushman rd. You are at the beginning of everything. To go downtown Hoodsport your 1 mile away, Lake Kokanee Boat launch, 1 mile away and Lake Cushman boat launch 2 miles away. Hood canal, 1 mile away!
Lake Kokanee is walkable. The walk is about 1.2 miles one way, all paved.
Brinnon has waterfalls that are noteworthy, crabbing, shrimping, fishing and orca whale watching!
Shopping and restaurants are a mile away. Want to read a book or browse books, visit our local Timberland Library, fun activities for kids too!

You have the entire cabin and yurt spaces. It is partially fenced. We do not live onsite.

Please note, no campfires or fireworks are not allowed at our property. Very strict, no exceptions.
No smoking or vaping inside units.
Wood is available for use for woodstove but bring your own if you want to use it 24 hrs. a day. There is also electric heat. Also, wood is available conveniently next store at the Lake Cushman Store.
Non-smoking/vaping in home.
Pet friendly. You are responsible for their messes and damages. Do not leave pets unattended.
There is an exterior security camera on the cabin. It is for safety/security.
