This cozy and spacious log cabin is perfect for a secluded get-away weekend or a big family reunion. Located just 2 hours from the DC Beltway, it's nestled in 44 acres of woods, with spectacular mountain views. Fully equipped - A/C, Heat, Fireplace - and a Brand New Hot Tub!
The main floor has a huge great room with living and dining area connected to a fully equipped open kitchen. An enormous wall of windows (all the way up to the cathedral ceilings) means you spend your whole day looking at a beautiful mountain view. Upstairs is a loft, also looking out at the view, with a cozy sitting area, a full shower stall bathroom, and two nice bedrooms with one queen sized bed in each. Back on the main floor is the master bedroom, also with a queen sized bed, and nice master bath with a tub shower, and a half bath off the kitchen. This main level also has a nice, shady front porch, a huge deck looking out over the mountain view, and a cozy and comfy screened-in back porch - and a charcoal grill for outdoor BBQs. Downstairs is a finished basement that is sort of a recreation room and dormitory area. One queen sized bed, one full bed, and one twin bed, a pool table, a big sectional couch, and a TV and video game area make this large open space perfect for kids or teens to hang out. A full bath with a tub shower, an extra queen mattress and six IKEA twin foam mattresses make it just right for a big sleep-over.
There is the quaint small town of Moorefield very close by, with a few shops, a few restaurants, a Walmart, a nice bowling alley, and a movie theatre. Close by is the South Branch of the Potomac River with lots of tubing and fishing. Not too far away is Seneca Rocks and in the other direction is Lost River. But you may just want to hang out, read a book, enjoy the silence and the beauty, cook a big meal, enjoy a drink with friends, and go for long walks on the country lanes.
