It's a five-minute walk from DragonsFyre to the stunning white sand Carmel Beach or nine minutes walk to village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. There's no need to drive but there's easy street parking in front of the house for those with a car. DragonsFyre rests on a quiet oak knoll lane. With no through traffic, it's well suited for guests seeking a relaxing place to stay.
Under the moonlight, DragonsFyre glows softly. A stone bowl carved with dragons rests in the front garden alongside a historic gate with a goat's bell and wrought iron ship's nails. The front patio offers a relaxing teak reading bench by the front garden for exclusive guest use. There's also a table and chairs for morning coffee, a light breakfast or a quick lunch. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the ambiance of this quiet neighborhood.
An arched door opens onto the home's foyer shared with the owner. Inside you'll find many dragon paintings and carvings. Access to your private suite is via this foyer. Your suite has a keycode door and privacy lock that leads upstairs to a landing with a mini-kitchen.
The mini-kitchen is fully stocked with chopping knives and utensils, Nespresso coffee maker, coffee press, toaster oven, microwave, 2 mini-fridges, electric kettle, crock pot, and an electric induction stove. It's perfect for breakfast, a quick lunch or full dinner, and snacks whenever you want.
In the living room, there's 55 inch cable TV (125+ channels) and wifi with superfast downloads perfect for video calls, gaming and streaming. Enjoy the sofa lounger and dining area for two which is also useful as a desk with its USB and power outlets.
There's a comfortable queen bedroom with two side tables, closet and a 55 inch cable TV. Four windows allow sunlight, fresh air and the sound of the ocean in at night. For those who prefer it dark at night, blinds are provided.
Both of the smart TVs allow internet-enabled access to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, HBO Max and similar streams that connect to your own accounts.
A private bathroom with travertine shower is off the landing. Towels and face cloths are provided. Extra linens and towels are available as needed as well as beach towels.
From the foyer, stairs lead down to the shared washer/dryer with additional linen and towels if needed. Laundry detergent is provided for all guests. There's also storage available in the garage for two bikes, golf clubs or similar-sized items.
Sorry, no smoking or pets. There's no access to the owner's ground floor or rear garden. As the home is on a narrow lane, camper vans or other large vehicles are not suitable for parking.
Apart from the weekly cleaning of your private suite by my professional cleaning crew, there's enhanced arrival cleaning on all hard surfaces that are sprayed with Microban, a commercial disinfectant spray, including the kitchen counter, cabinets, handles, chairs, fridges and light switches. The living room table, TV remotes and all switches are also cleaned as well as the bathroom counter, toilet, taps and switches. The bedroom is also disinfected including door & handles, and side tables. All bedroom pillows are swapped out as well as the comforter and blankets between guests.
I'm pleased to say that I've had two Pfizer vaccine shots and a booster shot as well.
