With the original home being built in the 1700s, the Longacre family has maintained ownership of the house through a couple of different additions and rebuilds. While staying here, you’ll get to experience elements of the 300+ year-old home alongside modern amenities. We have plenty of space for your family, friends, and your hunting and fishing buddies!
The Lodge
As you find your way to Longacre Lodge, you'll drive through rolling hills and small towns, passing cattle, barns, silos, and storehouses. Your drive will take you along the South Holston River that flows through the Blue Ridge Mountains from Virginia to Tennessee. Famous for its trout fishing, you may feel inspired to plan your own fishing excursion while you're here!
When you step onto the property at Longacre Lodge, we hope you'll feel the rich history this home provides. Upon entering through the kitchen, you'll find a dining area and full kitchen, complete with refrigerator, oven/stove, and dishwasher.
From the kitchen, you'll find a large living room at the front of the house with plenty of seating to sit cozy around the orignal stone fireplace and enjoy an evening of playing games with your group or sitting back to take advantage of the large smart TV.
On the back side of the house is a spacious mud room with additional dining space and a small desk. The mud room also provides access to our hunting and fishing closet, available for any storage needs during your stay.
The primary bedroom is located on the first level of Longacre Lodge. Equipped with a queen size bed, extra seating, closet, and television set, you'll have everything you need to sleep easy during your stay.
In-unit laundry and 1.5 baths are also on the first level of the Lodge.
Upstairs, we've got your whole group covered with an additional three bedrooms and half bath. The first bedroom to your right at the top of the stairs is our bunk room. It hosts two full bed-on-bottom-twin-bed-on top bunk beds, so your whole family has plenty of sleeping space! This room is ideal for kids, complete with plenty of closet space, kid-size recliner, and rocking chair.
If you go left at the top of the stairs, you'll find another bedroom with a full bed, closet, and tv. From there, head down the small hallway, and you'll run into the upstairs bathroom right next to another queen size bedroom with space for your belongings and another tv.
We hope you'll find some time to enjoy the outdoors at Longacre Lodge, as well. We have plenty of space in the backyard and side yard to enjoy the quiet farmland surrounding the property against a backdrop of the mountains nearby. Walk along the creek or relax in our hammock swing. At night, build a campfire and share stories around the fire pit stones that served as the original log home’s foundation. Be on the lookout when the sky is clear for some unmatched stargazing!

You will have full access to the property (a 2,568 sqft Federal-style home and 0.76 acre lot), except for a locked housekeeping closet and the cellar, where our owner's ancestors hid their livestock from invading soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Make yourselves at home.
