The Riverhouse is a lovely 3 BR, 2 Bath waterfront home situated on an inlet of the Trinity River. It has a cozy living space with an additional large sunroom. Main living area has a sofa sleeper plus 2 sitting chairs, 2 large beanbag chairs and a Smart tv with Directv and Roku. A selection of games, puzzles and movies are provided. The sunroom has floor to ceiling windows with a sofa sleeper, 3 chairs and a 6-person dining table, all overlooking the deck, backyard and dock.
The kitchen is equipped with cooktop range, small microwave and refrigerator. It has a full set of dishware and basic cooking supplies. The breakfast nook contains a small table and wine/coffee bar with a Keurig and coffee essentials.
There is a washer and dryer, ice machine, A/C & heat, and free Wi-Fi.
The deck has a patio table that seats 6 and a propane barbecue grill. On the large, shaded lawn is a picnic table and a fire-pit with 6 chairs (firewood is provided ), all overlooking the water.
We have a paddleboat, 2 kayaks and a small fishing boat for your use. There is also a storage shed with some fishing equipment and rods, additional folding lawn chairs and various lawn games. We offer several life jackets of various sizes however, we strongly encourage you to bring your own to ensure proper fiting.
The dock is big enough for 1 boat and has tie-ups and bumpers. The water depth fluctuates but at normal level is 3 ft. deep at dock front. Bottom of water consists of deep, soft, muddy silt. Any boat using this water will churn up dirt...idle only until at the river(a very short distance around the bend). The neighbors have a 24’ Mastercraft and a 26’ pontoon and are on the water weekly with no issues.The neighborhood offers a private boat launch on the river which also has a deck area for fishing the river directly.If you are bringing a boat, contact the hosts directly for additional boating and launch information.This is a very quiet neighborhood with great neighbors that we want to be respectful of. No loud parties and please observe “quiet hours".
Though no pets are allowed our family does use this house and will occasionally bring dogs with them. It is professionally cleaned after every stay, however, those with pet allergies should take this into consideration.
There is ample parking that will fit 4 cars. The home is on a large cul-de-sac with 1 other house. The street going into the house is long and can accommodate a truck and trailer.
