The girls are grown up and moved away but visit every now and then and do their grocery shopping on my pantry. I live in the suburbs of Washington, DC metropolitan area. I don't have any problem dropping/picking guests up at the metro. The entire lower level (finished basement) with a full bath has complete privacy. This is the same level I use for couchsurfers and would be available for homestay. I live with my wife and our 4-legged boss, a 7-lb Chihuahua.
We have a huge deck and an even bigger patio below it. We have a conservatory with a baby grand piano, living room, formal dining room, den, library, half bath and kitchen on the first level. The second floor has 4 additional br with 3 full baths.
I can host a single traveler or max of two traveling together.
King size bed (not a pull out couch/sofa), leather couch, 1 leather love seat, leather ottoman, desk/chair, table/4 chairs, 20 bottle wine cooler (empty). The guest has complete privacy, private full bath, wi-fi/internet, 52-in Fios TV.
