Summary: We stayed here for 4 days to fish and enjoy the lake with two other couples. We appreciated that repairs to the boat dock were completed as promised before our visit. The boat dock was the primary selling feature for us. We could tie up our boat at night under cover and be protected from rain and wind both of which happened while we were there. The house was clean and all of the major appliances worked. There was a nice view of the lake from the main living area. The house overall has a lot of potential but has some peculiarities. It is a quirky house with an odd floor plan, and it may not work for everyone especially someone mobility impaired (lots of steps). There wasn't an exit to the outside from the main living area and the only door to the back yard was through the den which was also serving as a bedroom for our group. We had trouble determining which light switches worked which lights and it seemed there were many burned out light bulbs. The yard was not particularly well kept. Major detractions to the overall aesthetic of the house included a broken-down glider that needed to be fixed or removed and fire ants. All of this said, this house is a relatively inexpensive option for a family group with primarily older children or groups of adults. It will work well for boaters who enjoy fishing.
