Our sanitized oasis sits by itself high above the sea but close enough to the ocean to hear waves crashing below. Enjoy the peace of having NO ONE AROUND YOU – – just whales migrating below, Osprey and bald eagles soaring overhead.
This Japanese style home is a sublime space situated on 10 private acres, surrounded by 35 more. The cottage sits high on a hill top but close enough to the seed to hear waves crashing below. Inside and out you behold the sea in all directions, for miles and miles, while you breathe in the sea air in utter tranquility.
You can also enjoy the expansive views from inside, while curled up by a gas fireplace.
The house is large and airy, and in the most primo and exclusive location on the Mendocino Coast: on a private hilltop with wide vistas and no neighbors, yet a stones throw from beaches and other recreational activities, art, museums, shops bars and eateries. Although a studio, it is 670 ft.² with sliding glass doors that open wide onto a huge wood deck, which leads to a lower deck of flagstone pavers, with a fire pit. Strong and reliable Wi-Fi, radiant heat, a gas fireplace, a full kitchen, with four burner gas range and gas oven and undercounter built-in fridge.
Towel warmer in the bathroom and queen bed with new memory foam mattress, wool Pendleton blankets, feather and down comforter and cotton jersey sheets. Cotton robes are also provided so you can lounge by the fire on a cool evening. And, of course, coffee, tea and all the necessary plates, glasses, cookware and utensils.
Outside, a new Weber barbecue, Blackstone griddle, second refrigerator with freezer, and fire pit facing the ocean in circles by wooden Adirondack chairs.
But, really, it’s all about the view. You can see waves crashing from inside the house and from all outside areas, which are private and serene.
