Welcome to Stone Creek House, a creekside family retreat. Minutes from Livingston Manor, our light-filled house is designed for gatherings and relaxation. On over three acres of landscaped property, the house has a private creek with a small swimming hole and game room. A two-sided fireplace keeps you cozy in the living and dining rooms, while the outdoors has a private deck with a chimenea, swing, a field for activities, a fire pit, and a large grill for cooking. The space
Our home is in the middle of it all! Stone Creek House is a few miles away from Livingston Manor, restaurants, and breweries. Bethel Woods, Callicoon, and many outdoor adventures are all within a twenty-five-minute drive.
The house is 2,400 sq/ft, including three bedrooms, living and dining rooms, two full baths, laundry, an office, and a game room (shuffleboard table and ping-pong). Our home is directly off a state road; it allows easy access to your destination, and the streets are plowed and well maintained during our snowy winters. The road is well-traveled during the day and quiets down at night. When in the backyard, the creek drowns out the sound of cars.
Outside, you can relax on the front porch, back deck, creek, or by the fire pit.
We welcome up to 8 guests. Dogs are welcome, but no more than two dogs per stay. There is a $35 additional cleaning fee to bring your furry BFF. We must first approve dog guests. *DOGS ONLY
BEDROOMS
Two large primary bedrooms are light-filled with queen-sized beds and a reading/relaxing area. The main level room has a door to the back deck, while the upper room provides plenty of privacy. Both have large windows overlooking the backyard and creek. The third bedroom has a twin bunk bed and a twin bed with a pull-out trundle. All rooms have USB outlets.
LIVING & DINING ROOMS
With a vaulted ceiling, the sunken living room is expansive (and super comfy), has comfortable seating for six, and plenty of floor room for the rest of the gang. It includes a 2-sided wood-burning fireplace, a 55" smart TV, and a sliding glass door to the back deck. The dining room seats eight and is built for enjoying family-style meals.
KITCHEN
Our fully equipped kitchen has almost everything you need to cook a feast. We love to make family meals and have prepped the kitchen with your future dinners in mind. All-Clad pots and pans, Le Creuset dutch oven and skillet + knives from Five Two by Food52. Please don't be shy to share your favorite recipe with the following guest or us. Public Goods grey-water safe and biodegradable dishwashing pods, soap, and sponges are included.
BATHROOMS
One vintage, the other modern, and both bathrooms are full. One has a tub and a rain shower with a spray hose. Both include ceiling heat lamps for some extra warmth. Public Goods: Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, and Lotion are included.
THE OFFICE
The office is a lovely spot in front of the house where you can close yourself for privacy. There is a small desk, USB outlets, and a sofa. The office is also where you will find an array of wooden toys from our Brooklyn store, Norman & Jules. There are plenty of card and board games to keep everyone occupied.
GAME ROOM
The game room is a converted garage that hosts a shuffleboard and ping pong table. It has flooring and heat. Plus, it's cool to play with the garage door open! The room also has doors to the side field and backyard.
LAUNDRY
We have a new high-capacity washer and dryer. There are hampers throughout the house, and Public Goods laundry detergent pods are included.
OUTDOORS
The property has a creek that runs through it, including an area that is a few feet deep, a pond in need of revitalization, a deck with chimenea, string lighting, a children's swing, a front porch, and a field for plenty of outdoor activities.
