Whether seeking a respite from the hectic pace of city life or busy job; looking for a family friendly gathering place for a long weekend or week; girls trip to catch up or guys/couples golf outing, this is the home for you.
The home has spectacular views of the lake from any room and offers both indoor and outdoor living. As you pull up to the house and into the large driveway for multi-car parking, you will immediately transition to the usual and relaxed environment that the lake provides.
Enter through the front stairs to a split staircase leading to the upper living areas or the lower bedrooms. The house has had significant updates since November 2014-2023. New tile has been installed throughout the house and showers are remodeled with new tile and fixtures. All the windows in the house were replaced to provide better energy efficiency and allow windows to open to enjoy the breeze in spring and fall while maintaining the spectacular views. The exterior was replaced with a more serviceable hardi-plank to prevent deterioration. The upper deck, railings and staircase were replaced to ensure a safe outdoor space.
The upstairs has a fully equipped kitchen to allow for cooking meals if not enjoying one of the fun restaurants around the lake. Included are service for 12, beverage glasses, microwave, coffee maker, oven, cooking utensils, and cookware, granite counters and large storage pantry to help manage space.
First aid kit and fire extinguishers are provided to ensure a safe stay for our guests.
Sit at the bar adjoining the kitchen to keep each other company while preparing meals, snacks and beverages. Adjoining dining area with table for 10 with a serving buffet. The cooktop, refrigerator and dishwasher
have been purchased in 2021 and 2022.
The dining room opens to the living are complete with sectional sofa with chaise lounge and flat screen TV with streaming access to your favorite sports programs, movies, news and regular programming. The wall of windows offers constant views of the lake. Exit the door to enjoy the upper deck with two tables and chairs for 10. The gas grill offers alternative
cooking…did you say hamburgers, steak or grilled fish?
In the corner of the upstairs is the primary bedroom and bath. Again, the wall of windows provides breathtaking views from the king size bed. A TV in the cabinets also houses extra essentials of blankets, pillows, etc. The primary shower has been remodeled with new tile shower and new fixtures.
A half bath is located at the top of the stairs for convenience and accessibility to guests on the upper floor.
Heading downstairs offers 3 bedrooms with lots of sleeping space for many. Separate into families, kids vs. adults or and configuration that meets your needs. Regardless of which room you select, each has a wall of windows overlooking the pool and private door to the outdoors so no need to interrupt sleeping friends.
Just outside the first bedroom is a full bath with shower/tub combination and fresh towels are provided. A full washer and dryer are also available downstairs for guests use. The bedroom to the left offers a queen bed. Built in cabinets offer plenty of storage. The middle bedroom offers a queen size bed, along with plenty of built-in cabinets.
The largest room downstairs serves both as a bedroom and gathering / game room, complete with 2 couches that pull out to make 2 full-size sleepers. The large round game table and chairs are perfect for a
friendly game of cards, putting together a weekend puzzle or enjoying board games. A TV with streaming is located within this room.
Step out from any downstairs bedroom or come down the stairs from the top deck to enjoy the lower deck with seating, lounging and of course the pool with a basketball goal for entertaining games. The pool is a game pool depth of 4 feet with stair entrance from both ends.
Just beyond the pool area is a large 2 slip boat dock for boats up to 24 feet and 2 jet skis, swim platform with steps and ladders into the lake. For larger boats or pontoons, there are cleats on the side of the boat slip to tie up using your dock lines. The open dock is perfect for floating in the water, tubing, waterskiing, paddle boarding, canoeing and of course fishing. Enjoy the decking for watching the spectacular sunsets, late night story telling or sleep under the stars!
Amenities at Walden include the fitness center with its daily classes for every fitness level, friendly tennis games on the Walden courts; nominal fees may apply. Golf at Walden Golf Course just a short 3 miles from the house. Although there is a pool at the house, you can also try the large pool at the
Walden’s Yacht Club complete with a kiddie pool and cabanas that offer a different view of the lake; cardkey required for access. Walden Yacht Club offers casual dining, a special wine room, and pool side snacks/meals.
Spring, Summer, fall, or winter, the lake is a perfect place to be. Even sitting on the deck in a rain shower can be perfect. If you find you want to explore beyond the lake, there are many activities in the surrounding communities. Montgomery offers antiques, wineries, exploring history while in Conroe, and The Woodlands offer a wide variety of well-known stores and restaurants along with the Woodlands Waterway and concerts at Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavilion.
