3 Bedroom House in Monroe
The majority of our guests use the house while visiting Liberty University however due to it's location there are many other reasons to stay here as well. Hit the See More button below to see a sample of area attractions.
But first, the view: The house is located on a hilltop acre that provides unobstructed breathtaking views of a valley filled with berries or pumpkins (depending on the season), apple orchards and Christmas trees with the Tobacco Row Mountains as a backdrop. The enclosed porches off of the master bedroom and kitchen are perfect spots to take it all in. Originally the property was a country store with a gas pump and a mill. The living room is where the store operations took place. The rest of the house was home to the proprietors.
Area Attractions Include:
0-10 minute drive: Miles of quiet country roads for walking, jogging, bird watching or
cycling right out the front door.
Morris Orchard- The apple slushies are a refreshing treat. U-pick
berries, pumpkins and Christmas tress available in season. Goat
petting/feeding. Withing walking distance or a 5" drive.
Woodruff's Pie Shop-Their apple pie has been featured in Southern
Living Magazine. Other pies are also available as well as a limited
lunch menu. 10" drive.
Grocery stores and restaurants. 10" drive.
A 20 minute drive: Liberty University
Amazement Square (fun for kids!)
Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP)
Fishing at Otter Creek Lake.
ATV Trail- South Pedlar
A 30 minute drive: Poplar Forest, Thomas Jefferson's summer home.

A 40 minute drive: Natural Bridge with its State Park, Caverns, Safari Park and Zoo
There are 3 bedrooms:
The Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and walk in closet off of it's private bathroom. There is also a private sun porch with comfortable seating for 4 to enjoy the views.
Bedroom #2 has a double bed
Bedroom #3 is quite cozy in size, but provides space for a set of twin bunk beds.
The kitchen is equipped for your cooking needs. There is a combo living room/dining room with a propane fire place, flat screen TV, DVD, and Dish Network. The house has WiFi internet access, however, due to the country setting it is provided via satellite and subject to limitations; No streaming or internet gaming.
